News: Kosovo-Serbia relations

An informal dinner was held in Berlin between the European Union envoy, Miroslav Lajcak, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to relaunch the dialogue between the two countries, under the aegis of the European Union. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti announced the willingness of the Kosovo government to apply for membership of the Council of Europe and the NATO Partnership for Peace programme. Serbia’s reaction was not long in coming: Vucic said that if Kosovo joined an international organisation, the Serbian response would be "much stronger than they think".
