News: European Parliament pushes for Serbian alignment with EU policies

On 13 and 14 June, the European Parliament voted on a draft project based on the 2021 Report of the European Commission on Serbia. Parliament has declared that Serbia must commit itself to aligning with European standards, reconsidering its relations with Russia and demonstrating progress on the issues of the rule of law and fundamental rights. Serbia’s alignment with European foreign policy in the area of sanctions against Russia and recognition of Kosovo was also crucial.
