News: Serbia: Consultation agreement signed with Russia, but European Parliament warns of risks to accession process

On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York from 20 to 23 September, the Foreign Ministers of Serbia and Russia signed a consultation agreement for 2023-2024. The European Parliament’s response was not long in coming, and on 25 September the European Parliament’s rapporteur on Serbia, Vladimir Bilcik, warned the country of the risks that such an agreement could have with regard to the progress of EU membership.
