News: President von der Leyen in Skopje: Frintex Agreement Signed

During his visit to Skopje, North Macedonia, on 26 October, The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced a package of 500 million € to support energy infrastructure in the Western Balkans, This will start with the disbursement of 80 million  € to North Macedonia to counter the rise in energy prices.

During the visit, President von der Leyen, the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johannson, and the Macedonian Prime Minister, Dimitar Kovacevski, signed a cooperation agreement for border surveillance within Frontex.
