News: Von der Leyen on a trip to Sarajevo announces economic aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina and invites leaders to work together

During her visit to Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of the European Commission, Ursula con der Leyen, announced economic aid of EUR 71 million to Bosnia and Herzegovina to deal with the energy crisis. The package, which will amount to EUR 500 million for the Balkan countries, will serve to provide immediate support for families in difficulty in the short term and to finance investments in energy infrastructure in the long term. During the visit, the President also urged the leaders  of Bosnia and Herzegovina to work together to get closer to the European membership.
