News: European Commission presents action plan for migrants

The European Commission has presented an action plan in 20 concrete measures to cope with the increase in the flow of irregular migrants that, passing through the Western Balkans region, reach European territory.

The European Action Plan is based on five pillars: strengthening border management along migration routes; support for asylum procedures and reception capacity; combating trafficking in migrants; strengthening cooperation on readmission and return; alignment of visa policy
