Eko Forum Zenica: attivisti per un'aria più pulita in Bosnia Erzegovina
Within the project " Climate Change, Environmental Risk and Civic Mobilization in the Western Balkans" financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), CeSPI and OBCT conducted a study targeting Western Balkans organizations active in environmental advocacy. Since 2008, when production restarted in the local steel factories acquired by the multinational ArcelorMittal, the Bosnian city of Zenica experienced alarming levels of air pollution. In reaction to the significant worsening of air quality, a group of citizens started the civic initiative Eko Forum. Samir Lemeš, chairman of the association's board, was interviewed for this research
