News: The European Council granted candidate country status to Bosnia

On 13 December, the General Affairs Council of the European Commission recommended granting candidate status to Bosnia and Herzegovina (which it had applied for in 2016). On 15 December, the recommendation was officially confirmed by the European Council, provided that the necessary reforms on the rule of law, the fight against terrorism and corruption and the management of migration flows are implemented.
