News: Hungary, Serbia and Austria try to contain illegal migrations

The leaders of Hungary, Serbia and Austria called for further measures to contain the phenomenon of illegal migration that is affecting the European Union and the Western Balkans. According to Frontex data, flows grew of 190% in the first 8 months of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year.

The proposal is to create new hotspots beyond European borders where migrants can apply for asylum.
