News: Kosovo: EU and OSCE condemn land expropriation in Serb Municipalities

The European Union and OSCE condemned Kurti’s decision to expropriate more than 100 parcels of lands in the Serb municipalities of Leposavic and Zubin Potok in the north of Kosovo. The government took the decision on 30 May 2024, earmarking the land for infrastructure projects “of public interest”, but the expropriations have stirred up protests from local population,  many of whom challenged the move in Kosovo’s courts.
