News: Kosovo: European Commission confirms recommendation for visa liberalisation

The European Commission has confirmed the recommendation to exempt citizens of Kosovo from the requirement of a short-stay visa within the European Union. The recommendation dates back to 2018 and even then the Commission had established that the country “fulfils all required benchmarks”. The Commission recently highlighted the country’s commitment to combating corruption and organised crime, as well as to dealing with immigration and security issues.
