The Western Balkans: divided over the war in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine and the consequent sanctions against Russia have seen the opposition of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the one side, and other Western Balkan states, on the other. Now the European Union has the delicate task of preventing further divisions in the region.

The article is part of the dossier issued by the Fundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) with the aim of providing an overview of the current state of the region in key areas such as the economy and the rule of law, with an eye on the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine.
