Development, sustainability and security in the Horn of Africa
The Horn of Africa is one of the world's regions with the lowest socio-economical rates and highest environmental vulnerabilities.
It includes ample areas where conflict, violence and lack of human rights characterize civil life and block sustainable development processes. The region is the scene of frequent humanitarian and environmental crisis and it is at the centre of migratory dynamics which affect Central and Northern Africa and the European continent.
The project, realized with CESI - outlines the regional framework issues from a political, economical, social, demographical, environmental and humanitarian point of view and has focused on the Somalian case study, in an attempt to expound the challenges and proposals for Italy and for the international community.
