Knowledge and Scientific Network (KSN)
The Knowledge and Scientific Network (KSN) is an initiative within the Local2030 Coalition promoted by the United Nations. Its goal is to connect knowledge and research with local policies and decision-making through a multilevel and multi-stakeholder approach. Supported by the Italian Government in collaboration with UN-Habitat, the Local2030 Coalition, and other partners, including CeSPI ETS, the KSN bridges the gap between academia and policymaking, enhancing the capacity to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Cycle of lectures and targeted training activities
A key feature of the project is the cycle of lectures and targeted training activities, engaging interdisciplinary clusters of Ph.D. students in the pilot countries of Jordan and Tunisia. The lectures, delivered by international experts, will provide practical and theoretical tools to strengthen local decision-making and promote evidence-based policies. Alongside these, action-research laboratories will be launched in the pilot cities (Aqaba, Irbid, Kerkennah, Sousse), creating a collaborative space for academics, local governments, and communities.
CeSPI ETS, as a partner in the project, contributes to the scientific coordination and supports the implementation of the training activities in close collaboration with UN-Habitat and other stakeholders.
